2012 Street Stock Rules

Body 

Stock only Steel-- No Alum or other types of body parts  
After Market Nose and bumper covers okay
Must have fire wall.

Frames 

The rear frame may be replaced from the rear shock absorber mounts toward the rear of the car.

Cam

No roller cams(But roller rockers ok ). Up to 10” tire rules

Carburetor  Two or four barrel on GM 406 CDI no bigger rule.
Chassis/
A-Arms
Stock/ Upper A- Arm can be Tube aftermarket but non adj. must be in stock location
Engine

 

Cast iron block in stock location NOaftermarket Block. Open Motor Steel Block Only . Cast iron cylinder heads of any make are permitted/Aluminum cylinder heads of any origin will not be permitted/Roller Rocker ok. Roller cams of any-type will not be permitted. Roller and/or mushroom-type lifters will not be permitted. Lifter protest will be $80 to pull lifter or pull intake and check for proper lifter track will keep half on any out come.

 NO external coil or MSD boxes and/or any other ignition amplifier boxes of any type will not be permitted.

 

UMP CARS WELCOME WITH NO CHANGES TO CARS

Open Engine will be able to run 2012 season must be on 8” wheel and tires with a 500cfm 2 barrel carburetor Rules are for optional #2:

 

One 500 CFM 4412 Holley unaltered carburetor is required.  The original choke tower must remain in its stock position and configuration. The choke blade may be removed.  Any other alterations to the body of the carburetor, internal working mechanisms, venturis, throttle plate and/or any other part and/or component of the carburetor will not be permitted Carburetor jets may be replaced and/or adjusted as an engine tuning method. To protest carburetor will be $60 and track will keep half regardless of the out come.

 

A maximum 8” (inch) wide steel racing wheel will be permitted. Aluminum and/or magnesium and/or mag-type and/or homemade wheels will not be permitted. One (1) inch magnetic steel lug nuts will be permitted on all four corners of the vehicle.  Only Hoosier E-Mod tires; compounds, D, H and/or A will be permitted. The DCM 400 will be permitted.

 

Engine and body must be manufactured by the same company and be within the same manufacturer’s model line when introduced into competition. The engine block must be cast iron from an OEM manufacturer. In addition to the factory OEM blocks only the GM Bowtie blocks with the casting numbers of 10051181, 10051182 and 10051183 will be permitted.  Aluminum engine blocks will not be permitted.

HEI distributors will be permitted. The OEM firing order for the engine must be maintained. No external coils or MSD boxes and/or any other ignition amplifier boxes of any type will not be permitted.

 

All UMP Rules will apply for 2012 season.

 

Engine Claim NO Engine Claim. Protest only A driver must immediately state to infield track official at the scales at the conclusion of the race, before leaving the track. They have 10 minutes to pay the protest must be in cash.  The car under protest will then be brought to the claim area and will be inspected. For a visual protest, a $60 fee is required.  The track will keep half regardless of outcome. Carburetor on open motor will be $60 and track keeps half regardless of the out come any party found illegal under the protest policy forfeits all prize money and points for the night except show up points and will start in the rear of the feature next time he or she is at track.
Engine Setback None.  Must be in stock location,   #1 plug must not be passed ball joint.

Heads  No aluminum/Roller Rocker ok. Stud girdles okay.
Ignition No mag. Hei distributor only. No MSD boxes or external coils or any other ignition amplifier boxes of any type  
Rear End  Factory type.  Floaters OK. No quick change. Sliders okay. Adjustable Lowering block ok. Aftermarket trailing arms are ok not to be adjustable at the track must be welded up. No W-five hubs/but wide five wheel ok with adapter.(no chains on rear end at all for any reason) 
Roof Height 

48 inches minimum measurement at (10 inches back from windshield) in center of the roof. 

Stabilizer Bar  Stock. No chains or aftermarket stabilizer bar.
Transmission 

Stock. Must have forward and reverse.

Spoiler 

Stock. If aftermarket, 6" max

Tires  Any Tires 
Shocks  Stock or racing in stock location. One per wheel, no heim-joint unless stock with car. 
Weight 3200 lbs. Track has right to add 100 lbs per wrong item
Weight Jacks  If you have weight jacks you will have to add 100 lbs. (umless ump)
